About Me
My name is Adam, and I am a cybersecurity major and IT professional.
Outside of work and school, I am a big gamer, I enjoy spending time with
family and friends, and I am very ambitious when it comes to my career and the goals
I have set for myself.
I did not grow up with a technical background, but I discovered my interest in IT and
cybersecurity through my high school’s magnet program. I spent two years studying networking
and two years learning cybersecurity fundamentals, and during that time I realized that
this field was not only interesting to me but something I genuinely enjoyed.
Once I figured that out, I started working toward building real experience. The summer
after my junior year of high school, I earned my first internship as a Device Support Associate.
I was quickly selected for a leadership role within the program and asked to support several projects
throughout my time there. I also worked hard to earn industry certifications, including CompTIA Security +,
which many students do not earn until late in college or several years into their careers.
By the time I entered college as a freshman, I already had four IT and cybersecurity internships, six certifications,
and a strong foundation of practical skills. I am grateful for where that work has brought me, and I am excited for
what comes next. I enjoy learning, improving, and gaining more real experience every chance I get.
